“Ambassadors of ecology of Uzbekistan” is an annual program launched by the Ministry of Ecology of Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan Volunteers Association, which is aimed at building a new generation of eco-leaders and engaging them in promoting the national green movement of Uzbekistan.

The main goal of the program is to select and unite young and ambitious environmental activists from each region of Uzbekistan, Tashkent city and Karakalpakstan in order to help them develop a plan for environmental projects with expert mentors and support them in their implementation throughout the Republic.

In addition to the development and implementation of environmental projects, the ambassadors will systematically expand the base of eco-volunteers throughout the Republic and promote campaigns on green education and climate action through the pages of the EcoHub.uz environmental platform on social networks, as well as workshops and webinars with young people.

At the initial stage, selected participants will go through a series of trainings from expert speakers and mentors, after which they will be able to develop a plan for their environmental project and present it to the jury team for evaluation and approval to support implementation.

What is offered to ambassadors:

-the opportunity to become the face of the environmental movement from your region, city or country,
-receiving the passport of the Ambassador of Ecology of Uzbekistan,
-receiving expert assistance in developing a plan for your environmental projects with trainers,
-receiving support from the Ministry of Ecology for the implementation of their projects,
-participate as a youth representative or volunteer in international conferences and forums on ecology that will be held this year,
-certificate of participation in the program and a letter of recommendation from the Minister of Environment;

Selection criteria:

1. Age 16-30 years,
2. Fluency in English (Uzbek and Russian will be an advantage),
3.Reside in your region on a permanent basis,
4.An effective project proposal to solve ecological problems in your region,
5. Availability of free time (minimum 10 hours per week),
6. Practical experience in participating in or implementing social projects

The open selection of participants will take place in two stages:

- Filling out an online application form, where you need to answer several questions in the form of a motivational essay, and also upload your one-minute video,
- Online interview.
