Every year, August 12 is celebrated around the world to celebrate the International Youth Day and to highlight the voice of young people, empower young people, support their initiatives, and ensure their meaningful, universal and fair participation.

This year, on the occasion of the International Youth Day, a holiday event was organized in the "Central Park" park in Tashkent in cooperation with the UN agencies in Uzbekistan, the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Volunteer Association of Uzbekistan.

As part of the celebration of the International Youth Day, there will be an educational and practical quest, a concert program, a theatrical performance, flash mobs, an awarding ceremony for the winners of the video competition dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) dedicated to the International Youth Day. tdi

It is planned to participate in educational master classes, info-sessions and practical seminars organized in such areas as ecology, agrarian business, gender equality, education, reproductive health, mental health, employment, etc. . Participants will also be able to learn about the SDGs and ways to express their voices on the issues that are important to them through the activities of UN agencies in Uzbekistan.

Today, children and young people under 30 make up 60% of the population in Uzbekistan. In 15-20 years, they will become the largest labor force in the history of Uzbekistan and create a unique opportunity to take the country to a new stage of socio-economic development.
