📢 April 2 – World Autism Awareness Day

Autism is not a disease, but a unique way of perceiving the world and interacting with others.
People with autism may notice small details others overlook, think in unconventional ways, and possess rare talents. Today reminds us of the importance of understanding individuals with autism and accepting them as full members of society.
🔹 Autism was first scientifically described in 1943 by American psychiatrist Leo Kanner.
🔹 The symbol of autism is the color blue, and multicolored puzzle pieces represent its many forms.
🔹 Some individuals with autism have extraordinary memory or abilities in specific subjects. For example, British artist Stephen Wiltshire can draw entire cityscapes from memory after seeing them just once.
To make the world a better place, we must learn to understand one another 💙
