Day three. Mentoring Program 2.0

The educational block of the third day was opened by invited experts - SICA country program coordinator Farhod Atajanov and Mirsaid Uzokovlar, an expert on positive youth development.

The participants considered the topic of determining the actual problems of society from the point of view of the system, learned methods for determining the causes and consequences of the problem, as well as the rationale for the relevance of the issue.

Having completed the work of the previous days on their work and development of skills in volunteer schools, the mentors got the opportunity to practice to plan an initial, short training module, as well as to make small presentations. The next step in the growth point of mentors was the theme of design. In the course of the work, the mentors received information on what to pay attention to when developing project proposals, in particular, the task statement block and how to identify it.

In the end, of course, friendship won, but most importantly, each participant was able to understand how important each item of the project is for the implementation of their ideas.

For us, as organizers, it is especially valuable and important to note the success of some mentors of volunteer schools, to note the fact that they were awarded certificates and gifts from UNICEF representatives in Uzbekistan for their contribution to raising public awareness about the benefits of vaccination.

At the logical conclusion of the day, mentors and eco-volunteers from all regions of Uzbekistan held a discussion about all the risks, prospects and interests in strengthening the capacity of volunteer schools throughout the country.

During the meeting, the results of the activities of environmental volunteers were summed up and certificates were awarded to the participants.
