Director of the SCO Public Diplomacy Center in Uzbekistan Kabuljon Sabirov noted that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization attaches great importance to ecology and environmental protection, especially emphasizing the important role of the Samarkand Declaration in this area, which states that the lack of access to a source of safe drinking water, basic services sanitation and healthy hygiene are serious problems of our time. He also noted that this project will help the participants to understand that any issue related to the environment depends on each person, and will serve to increase the ecological culture among the peoples living on the banks of the river.
Chairman of the Association of Volunteers of Uzbekistan Shirin Abidova noted that volunteering today is an alternative diplomatic platform, where all involved participants strengthen a sense of empathy, friendship, responsibility for the environment in general and for peace in the world. That is why it is very important to support self-initiatives and activists who are ready to volunteer for the benefit of society.
The Clean Games project is not only an environmental action, but also an opportunity for people from all over the world to unite in the fight for a clean planet. We hope that this event will become an example for other regions and will help to draw attention to the problems of ecology and nature protection.
