One of the important tasks of the Association of Volunteers of Uzbekistan is to establish and strengthen ties with volunteer initiatives and organizations around the world. Among them are our close neighbors, friends from Kazakhstan.
Taking this opportunity, we are among the first to share with you an interview with the executive director of the National Volunteer Network of Kazakhstan, organized as part of a series of reports and interviews with participants of the Central Asian Civil Society Forum on the aspects of citizens' participation in socially significant projects, their involvement in decision-making processes at different levels , trends and prospects for the development of civil society in the countries of the region.
We are starting a series of publications and interviews with participants of the Central Asian Civil Society Forum on the aspects of citizens' participation in socially significant projects, their involvement in decision-making processes at different levels, trends and prospects for the development of civil society in the countries of the region.
The first guest of the column is Tatyana MIRONYUK, Executive Director of the National Volunteer Network of Kazakhstan.
What opportunities does volunteering provide?
▫️ try yourself in any profession, different activities and choose what you like;
▫️career growth: at volunteer events it is always clear which of them is the most responsible, active, then it is easier for them to find a job;
▫️limitless opportunities for travel around the world: volunteer programs abroad cover the costs;
▫️to meet like-minded people, friends who understand and accept, who are on the same wavelength with you.
— After the Central Asian Civil Society Forum, initiated by the Yuksalish Movement, we held our Central Asian Volunteer Forum, in which the Association of Volunteers of Uzbekistan also participated.
We signed a resolution of the Central Asian hub, an association in the volunteer field. Why hub? Because we want to interact more online, in the Internet space, to do joint projects.
Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan have joined us, but they do not have unified organizations like in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. We want to unite organizations and initiative groups of the region through the hub. Our task is to give them a platform for consolidating their efforts and resources.
